The Oasis Academy had originally bought 230 i-desks in April 2006.  Five years later they felt it was time for an upgrade and after deciding on the specification gave i-desk Solutions the go ahead to install in the summer break.

The installation was completed in August and ready for the beginning of term.

Scott Walker, ICT Teacher was delighted at the new performance and was quoted as saying "thank you so much for the new i-desks, they have made a huge difference and teaching is now so much easier."

The Jaguar Cars Maths in Motion Challenge has now become well established in the calendars of many schools as a way of engaging children of all ages and abilities in an exciting and motivating mathematics based project. The software is suitable for all ages from 9 upwards. It is an ideal base for a primary school maths project, for a ‘transition years’ project or for general use with older students throughout secondary school. The Challenge involves students working together in small teams, who compete against each other in an effort to win a Grand Prix type race and become U.K. Champions. This activity involves a wide range of basic mathematical skills, some practical, being used and applied. i-desk solutions Ltd has actively been involved through sponsorship of this event over a number of years and provides a i-classic desk for the wining school. i-desk® Solutions has now just completed its 100th installation of its new product the i-cyber.

The success of the product is most obvious when you consider the stats at Newcastle University, of the 42 i-cybers installed since January there has been 37,000 logons by 9,000 students with average usage of 3.5 minutes and this was only up to the middle of June.

i-desk® solutions has moved in to a new multi-purpose factory in Finchampstead, Berkshire, U.K.  The site is close to its previous base.

Since 2002 we have been expanding our range of products and now we’ve had to expand our production facility as well. With the advent of emerging technologies such as virtualisation and biometrics we are having to ensure our products are quickly developed and that had become increasingly difficult in our existing premises. The new building will enable i-desk Solutions to continue developing its unique range of products and have capacity to grow for many years to come.

Tudor Grange Academy in Worcester welcomes i-desk in adding to its tremendous success

The GCSE pass rate, % of pupils attaining a minimum of 5 grades A* to C, has risen from 43% when it was known as the Elgar Technology College in 2009 to 80% in 2010.

Tudor Grange Academy extends its congratulations for i-desk solutions ltd in meeting with the ICT leadership team, manufacturing and setting up the right i-desks for its vision of a transformation to a school with spacious, sustainable ICT.  The academy has produced a video demonstrating how the i-desk® has been instrumental in improving ICT for its children. 

The academy refurbished its aging, cramped work-surface RM machine suites in favour of integrated ICT in 2009.
